Joe and his family have lived in West Allis for more than 19 years. He has been married for more than 24 years to Becky, a Parochial School Teacher in Milwaukee. They have three children; Andrea, Joe and Gina.

Joe grew up working for his father in the family’s sod farm and Christmas tree business. During that time his father instilled a strong ethic of hard work and customer service by example. Joe’s father at age 78, still works 6-7 days per week and has been in business for more than 50 years. Joe has 25 years of experience running his own business beginning in 1980 when at the age of 16 Joe began his first business selling fruits and vegetables, sod, topsoil and nursery stock on 35th & Forest Home Ave. After graduating from Thomas More High School, Joe attended Marquette University until the entrepreneurial bug bit and he left college to begin a landscaping business. The business employed over 60 people and performed landscape construction and maintenance on residential, commercial and municipal projects. In 2005, Joe sold the landscaping business.

Joe and Becky are active members at Mary Queen of Heaven Parish in West Allis and St. John the Evangelist Parish in Greenfield. At MQH Joe was on the Parish Council and on the building and grounds committee. He ran an annual News Year Eve Casino Night and Dance and has worked on the Parish Festival.
At St. John’s, Joe runs the kitchen for the annual casino night school fundraiser, works the concession stand at sporting events and tends bar at the Parish Festival.

Joe was also a member of the Archdiocese task-force responsible for the West Allis/West Milwaukee Catholic Schools merger, and performs volunteer work and financial support for St. Thomas More High School.
