Candidate Biography

James W. Edming, known to his friends and family as "Jimmy Boy," is a small business owner and hobby farmer born and raised in Glen Flora, Wisconsin. Jimmy Boy has been happily married to his wife, Marty, for 44 years. Together they have three sons, two granddaughters and a great grandchild who all reside in Wisconsin.

Jimmy's grandfather emigrated from Sweden to Wisconsin in 1886, when he was 18, and became a farmer, trader and logger. He was the first resident to come to Glen Flora and stay in the community. Jimmy Boy and his wife reside on the property that his grandfather had when he first came to America.  

Jimmy Boy has owned and operated Edming Oil Company  for over 40 years and started Jimmy Boy Pizza and Ovenworks Pizza Companies. In 1976 Jimmy purchased Edming Manufacturing Company Inc. from his father and uncle. His passion in life is being a business owner and creating jobs in his community and across Wisconsin. He has used his experience as owner of Edming Oil to serve a term on the Wisconsin Association of Convenience Stores. 

In addition to being an entrepreneur, Jimmy is active in his community. He is currently in his third term on the Rusk County Hospital Board, served ten years on the Rusk County Board,  Chairman on the Ambulance Committee for ten years and four years as Chairman on the Sheriff's Committee.

Jimmy believes in serving our country and is an Honor Guard for the WWII Veteran Honor Flights and was asked by the American Legion to be a bugler for military funerals. He is currently a member of Bugles Across America.  

Jimmy Boy has many hobbies in life including: playing the trumpet, collecting antique Model T's and Model A's, and spending time with his grand children.
