Gae was born and raised in the heart of the 28th Assembly District on a farm near Deronda, Wisconsin, and went on to graduate from Amery High School. She received a degree in applied science from Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, Illlinois, in 1982 and went on to work as a registered nurse.
Currently, Gae lives outside Dresser, with her husband, Tom, where they own a small business together.
Spending her entire career in the healthcare field and retiring in 2017, Gae was a nurse for the past 35 years. She cared for the developmentally disabled for the department of mental health, and most recently, cared for the children at St. Paul Children’s Hospital.
As health care continues to be a hot topic in both national and state politics, Gae intends on using her extensive knowledge and experience to help Wisconsin continue to be a leader in health care innovation and cost savings.
