Jeff Smith knows that here in western Wisconsin we care about what we leave behind. That's because Jeff is a born and raised Eau Claire native. He spent most of his adult life working to build a small window cleaning business and a strong family. Once his daughters were in school, he became a dedicated volunteer in their classrooms and eventually would serve on Gov. Jim Doyle's Task Force on Educational Excellence in 2003.
Jeff's interest in strengthening communities led him to serve as chair of the town of Brunswick's board. He's always been a champion for his neighbors and a leader in our community so in 2006 he was elected to represent the 93rd Assembly district. He served for two terms passing legislation advancing educational opportunity, protecting our environment, and strengthening our region.
After he left the Legislature in 2011, he worked as the Wisconsin Democratic Party's regional political director for Northern Wisconsin.
In all that time Jeff has also raised two daughters with his wife, a public school teacher. He believes that we are measured by our impact on the next generation. He refuses to give up while our community's young people are left with a weakened infrastructure, a neglected environment, and fewer opportunities for success. Join Jeff to stand up for the best interests of our community!
