Former Phillips Mayor Jeffrey Fahl has announced his plan to run for Wisconsin’s 74th Assembly District.
Fahl is a native of Ogema and graduated from Prentice High School. After graduating from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a bachelor of science degree in computer science and engineering, he went to work for a Phillips manufacturer as a computer programmer. He has been employed at the same company for over 20 years.
Fahl has served his community on the Phillips City Council for four years, and then mayor for six years. He has been on the Phillips Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for five years, serving three years as the president. Other volunteer work includes church council, church treasurer, and American Cancer Society Relay for Life team captain and event chairman.
As mayor, Fahl pushed for economic development by expanding the city’s business park, partnering in building the Phillips Enterprise Center, and reorganizing the Price County Economic Development Association. He also focused on the enhancement of the city with the construction of a pavilion in Elk Lake Park and opening certain streets as ATV routes.
