Pat has always loved Wisconsin, growing up in Milwaukee during the 1960s and '70s and returning to Wisconsin in November 2000 to become the morning host on WSAU Radio (AM 550). Building a loyal audience and high ratings, Pat chose to leave his radio career and answer the calls of many friends to run for the 85th Assembly seat in 2012.
Coming up short was disappointing, but as it has been said before, if one door closes another one opens. That door was the opportunity to become the outreach director for U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy.
Over the past two years, Pat has learned about the many hurdles facing the citizens of the 7th Congressional District, which includes the 85th Assembly District. Pat has gained invaluable experience by listening to the community leaders in business and manufacturing; local and county government; the health and wellness industry; non-profit agencies, the agricultural community; and our school superintendents.
Pat is a member of several community organizations including the United Way's Hunger Coalition and Housing and Homelessness Committee. He is on the Marathon County Department of Social Services Administrative Review Panel. He is also an Aspirus Hospice Volunteer.
Pat met his wife, Shawn, while attending the University of Iowa. They have been married for 36 years. Shawn is a R.N. in the Aspirus Dialysis unit. They have two married children, Amy, who is an elementary school teacher in Wausau and Daniel, a Quality Assurance Analyst with Epic Software in Verona.
