A lifelong native of the Fox Valley, Roger is committed to making Wisconsin a better place for the next generation. As a father, husband and small business owner, he knows what it takes to create and grow family supporting jobs.
Born in Appleton, Roger attended St. Mary’s Central High School in Menasha and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In sixth grade, he started lending a hand with the family construction business and by the time he was a senior in high school, he was entrusted to oversee crews on jobsites. Roger learned firsthand what it was like to manage a business and balance a budget while seeing and understanding the challenges that small businesses face.
Following his degree from UW-Oshkosh, Roger not only continued to lead the family construction business building homes across Northeastern Wisconsin but also joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He served four tours in the Middle East. He’s a veteran of the Iraq War, having been deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2006, Roger was elected to represent the 56th Assembly District and was an outspoken champion of fiscal responsibility, lower taxes and a reduction of out of control state spending. Since then, he’s continued to grow the family business and his young family has grown as well. In 2013, Roger and his wife, Rebecca, welcomed Roger III into the world.
