My name is Tom Sieber and I am running for the Wisconsin State Assembly. I have really enjoyed serving the residents of District One on the Brown County Board for the last six years. On the board, I have developed great relationships with fellow supervisors of all political backgrounds. Together we have created the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Center at UWGB, lowered our overall debt and passed a plan to address our infrastructure.
During my time on the board, I have seen first hand the state continue to neglect their responsibilities to fund assistant district attorneys, fund infrastructure and refuse to grant protective status to our correctional officers. At the same time, they have continued to consolidate power in Madison. This takes away local decision making on a number of issues from our neighbors and friends and puts us at the mercy of lobbyists in Madison.
I have worked for my family's business for 26 years and have managed it since 2013. I am on the front lines of the economy everyday. I know how to ensure our economy is strong. We need a state representative that understands the economy and understands that the best decisions are made locally. That’s why I’m running.
